الْأعلى

سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْاَعْلَىۙ

sabbiḥisma rabbikal-a'lā

GLORIFYTHENAMEofyourLordmosthigh

الَّذِيْ خَلَقَ فَسَوّٰىۖ

allażī khalaqa fa sawwā

Whocreatesandproportions

وَالَّذِيْ قَدَّرَ فَهَدٰىۖ

wallażī qaddara fa hadā

Whodeterminesanddirects

وَالَّذِيْٓ اَخْرَجَ الْمَرْعٰىۖ

wallażī akhrajal-mar'ā

Whobringsoutthepastures

فَجَعَلَهٗ غُثَاۤءً اَحْوٰىۖ

fa ja'alahụ guṡā`an aḥwā

Thenreducesthemtorustyrubbish.

سَنُقْرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنْسٰىٓ ۖ

sanuqri`uka fa lā tansā

Weshallmakeyourecite(theQur´an)sothatyouwillnotforgetit

اِلَّا مَا شَاۤءَ اللّٰهُ ۗاِنَّهٗ يَعْلَمُ الْجَهْرَ وَمَا يَخْفٰىۗ

illā mā syā`allāh, innahụ ya'lamul-jahra wa mā yakhfā

UnlessGodmayplease.Heknowsthevisibleandknowswhatishidden.

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلْيُسْرٰىۖ

wa nuyassiruka lil-yusrā

Weshalltakeyouslowlytowardsease.

فَذَكِّرْ اِنْ نَّفَعَتِ الذِّكْرٰىۗ

fa żakkir in nafa'atiż-żikrā

Soremindthemifreminderisprofitable:

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَنْ يَّخْشٰىۙ

sayażżakkaru may yakhsyā

Thosewhofearwillunderstand.

وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا الْاَشْقَىۙ

wa yatajannabuhal-asyqā

Onlythewretchwillturnaside

الَّذِيْ يَصْلَى النَّارَ الْكُبْرٰىۚ

allażī yaṣlan-nāral-kubrā

WhowillburnintheterribleFire

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوْتُ فِيْهَا وَلَا يَحْيٰىۗ

ṡumma lā yamụtu fīhā wa lā yaḥyā

Inwhichhewillneitherdienorlive.

قَدْ اَفْلَحَ مَنْ تَزَكّٰىۙ

qad aflaḥa man tazakkā

Surelyhewillsucceedwhogrowsingoodness

وَذَكَرَ اسْمَ رَبِّهٖ فَصَلّٰىۗ

wa żakarasma rabbihī fa ṣallā

AndrecitesthenameofhisLordandserveswithdevotion.

بَلْ تُؤْثِرُوْنَ الْحَيٰوةَ الدُّنْيَاۖ

bal tu`ṡirụnal-ḥayātad-dun-yā

Butnoyoupreferthelifeoftheworld

وَالْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَّاَبْقٰىۗ

wal-ākhiratu khairuw wa abqā

Thoughthelifetocomeisbetterandabiding.

اِنَّ هٰذَا لَفِى الصُّحُفِ الْاُوْلٰىۙ

inna hāżā lafiṣ-ṣuḥufil-ụlā

ThisissurelyintheearlierBooks

صُحُفِ اِبْرٰهِيْمَ وَمُوْسٰى

ṣuḥufi ibrāhīma wa mụsā

TheBooksofAbrahamandMoses.
